Are you an energetic, sporty Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Blaenau Gwent seeking a confident and proactive TA to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and can use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, build strong relationships, and support positive behaviour.
Role
- Supporting pupils with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Using sport, movement, and practical activities to encourage engagement and participation
- Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored learning and targeted interventions
- Promoting positive behaviour strategies and supporting emotional regulation
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ALN/SEN setting
- A sporty, energetic personality who can bring enthusiasm into the classroom
- Strong behaviour management skills and resilience
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to get involved
