Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school‑aged child with ADHD at a vibrant primary school in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role is full‑time, starting in January 2025, with a daily rate of £100.

In this important role, you will work closely with a child who has ADHD, providing the support they need to stay focused, manage impulsive behaviours, and thrive in the classroom setting. You'll play a key part in creating a positive learning environment that encourages both academic achievement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a primary school child with ADHD, helping them to stay engaged and focused during lessons.
  • Implement strategies to manage behaviour, support attention, and encourage positive social interactions.
  • Assist the child with organisational skills, including completing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Work alongside the class teacher and SEN coordinator to tailor the child's learning experience and ensure they are accessing the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs.
  • Support the child in both academic and social settings, fostering confidence and a sense of belonging in the school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children with ADHD or other special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach with the ability to think on your feet.
  • An understanding of ADHD, including its impact on learning, behaviour, and social interactions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both children and colleagues.
