Aspire People is currently recruiting for a committed and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Lutterworth from September. This full-time role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD, helping them to remain engaged in learning, develop positive routines, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.

The successful candidate will need to be patient, adaptable, and confident in supporting a child who may require additional encouragement with focus, organisation, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

The Role

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD
  • Supporting the child to access the curriculum and remain on task
  • Implementing strategies to promote concentration and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents where required
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience supporting children with ADHD or other additional needs (desirable)
  • Previous experience working within a school or educational setting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
