1:1 ADHD Specialist Teaching Assistant – Location: Lutterworth – Contract Type: Full-time (5 days a week) – Salary: £95 – £100 per day – Start Date: ASAP

Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and patient 1:1 ADHD Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Lutterworth. This full-time role involves supporting a child with ADHD, helping them focus, manage their impulses, and succeed in the classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with ADHD throughout the school day
  • Assisting the child with focus, attention, and task completion in class
  • Implementing individual behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes
  • Supporting emotional regulation and helping manage impulsivity and hyperactivity
  • Breaking tasks into manageable steps and offering encouragement and reassurance
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the child\\\’s individual needs are met
  • Creating a structured, calm, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a UK school setting, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN support role
  • Strong understanding of ADHD and how it can impact learning and behaviour
  • Experience with classroom strategies to support attention, focus, and emotional regulation
  • Patience, consistency, and the ability to adapt quickly to the child\\\’s needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive, trusting relationship
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and contribute to the wider team
