About the Role:
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported in their learning. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while fostering a positive and structured classroom environment. Working across a variety of school settings, you will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, adaptability, and effective classroom management skills while supporting pupils in developing their scientific understanding and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Teach core scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics where required
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on pupil progress
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and leadership teams
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school-specific policies at all times
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Adaptable, flexible, and confident working in new environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
