About the Role

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English, ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported in their learning. Working across a variety of school settings, you will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, creativity, and effective classroom management skills while supporting pupils in developing their literacy, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Teach a broad range of literature, language, and writing skills in line with the national curriculum
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on pupil progress

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
