Aspire People are currently working with multiple well-regarded secondary schools across South London to recruit enthusiastic and committed Graduate Science Tutors for September. These roles are ideal for graduates seeking paid, school-based experience and a pathway into teaching.
Graduate Science Tutor – the schools:
* A variety of different high-achieving schools in South London
* Cater to students aged 11-16 or 11-18
* Excellent Science departments with a focus on high attainment and personalised support
* Supportive staff teams with experienced mentors
* Modern facilities, including well-equipped science labs
* Excellent training and development opportunities
* Strong links with teacher training providers for progression routes
Graduate Science Tutor – key responsibilities:
* Support Science departments across KS3 – KS5 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
* Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions to help raise attainment
* Assist in preparing engaging lessons and practical activities
* Work closely with teaching staff to identify and support students\’ learning needs
* Build confidence and motivation in pupils preparing for GCSEs and A Levels
Graduate Science Tutor – requirements:
* 2:1 or above in any Science discipline from a top UK university
* Previous tutoring experience is desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Reliability, motivation and enthusiasm for learning
* Receptive to feedback and coaching
* Commitment for at least one academic year
* Enhanced DBS on the update service is desirable
