Are you an enthusiastic, creative and committed teacher looking to inspire young learners at the start of their primary journey? We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join our warm, welcoming and ambitious two-form entry Church of England primary school in South London from September 2026. About the Role
- Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Support pupils in making a successful transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating and nurturing classroom environment where every child can flourish.
- Work collaboratively with your Year 1 teaching partner and wider Key Stage 1 team to plan and deliver an exciting curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all children.
- Has a secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective early reading and phonics practice.
- Is passionate about children's learning, wellbeing and personal development.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Works well as part of a team and is keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Will actively support the Christian ethos and values of our Church of England school. Applicants do not need to be practising Christians, but should be committed to promoting and respecting the school's distinctive Christian character.
