Do you enjoy working with children and have a passion for food and creativity? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant / Team Leader to lead our fun and engaging after-school cookery club for primary-aged children.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, rewarding opportunity where you will take the lead in delivering interactive cooking sessions, helping children learn new skills while building confidence in the kitchen. You will create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can participate and enjoy the experience.
Working Hours:
- Thursday: 15:00 - 17:00
- Saturday: 10:30 - 12:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate cookery sessions
- Lead small groups of primary-aged children in a safe environment
- Ensure all health and safety and food hygiene standards are followed
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and independence among pupils
- Set up and clear away equipment before and after sessions
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (school, club, or similar setting)
- A passion for cooking or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
