Overview
Year 5 Teacher, Sutton Coldfield | 5 days per week – may be flexible | October – July. A wonderful school in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will take full class responsibility, supported by a strong teaching team, a welcoming SLT, and a vibrant, caring school community. You\'ll plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess pupil progress, and work closely with support staff to ensure every child achieves their best.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 (KS2).
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with support staff and the safeguarding team to support pupils.
- Collaborate with the teaching team and senior leadership team to maintain high expectations and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- A creative, reflective, and committed approach to primary education.
- Strong classroom management and a positive approach to teamwork.
- In-depth understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Ability to identify and target specific, individual needs and a dedication to raising standards.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to create a positive learning environment by motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
- Innovative planning and delivery of lessons.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to form positive partnerships with other professionals.
- Ability to use IT systems and interactive whiteboards.
