An outstanding school located near Sutton Coldfield/Erdington is looking for a full‑time Teaching Assistant to work within Reception or Year 1. This is a class‑based role with minimal SEND support required. The position will run from September to October 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in Reception or Year 1 within a classroom setting.
  • Provide minimal one‑to‑one SEND support as needed.
  • Assist with the delivery of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level 3+ Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferred).
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one‑to‑one basis.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.
  • Child Protection screening, including Disclosure and Barring Checks and checks with former employers.
