The predicted salary is between 12000 - 15000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work lead 1:1 and group intervention sessions at a school located within Sutton Coldfield. The children that you will be working with have a variety of needs including ASD, EAL, Speech and language, Global Delay etc., so the school is looking for an individual who has experience working with a wide range of learning needs.
Although this role is based across Key Stage 1, some of the children are working to the EYFS curriculum, so EYFS and KS1 curriculum knowledge is essential. This school uses Little Wandle, so previous experience with this is preferred however not required. The suitable candidate will have a caring, supportive nature and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with pupils.
This role is 8:30am-12:40pm Monday-Friday starting ASAP, on an ongoing basis.
Skills and experience required for our teaching assistant jobs:
- Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferable)
- An enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner
- Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum
- Recent primary school experience within the last 3 years
- Right to Work in the UK
- Clear Enhanced Child Workforce on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we will require you to apply for a new DBS)
- Able to provide at least 2 references to cover a minimum of 2 years
- Strong EYFS and SEND knowledge
