We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a medical or healthcare background to join a specialist school in Spilsby. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with complex needs in a nurturing and highly specialised educational environment.

The school also delivers specialist interventions such as Colourful Semantics, Lego Therapy, Thera Lego, Intensive Interaction, Rebound Therapy and Bucket Time, helping students develop communication, social and learning skills.
The Role
You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists and healthcare professionals to support students with complex medical and communication needs, ensuring they can access learning safely and effectively.
Essential Requirements
- Tracheostomy Care - both theory and practical experience
- Moving and Handling - both theory and practical training
- Jejunostomy Feeding Pump Management
- Gastrostomy (PEG/Button) Care and Feeding
- Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) Awareness and Support

- Has a healthcare, nursing, care, support work, therapy assistant or similar medical background
- Is confident supporting students with complex medical needs
- Has a patient, caring and proactive approach
