Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Looking to make a real difference in a nurturing primary school environment? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Primary / SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

The Role:

  • You will be supporting pupils across the primary age range, with a focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs.
  • You may work 1:1 or with small groups, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support children with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Work closely with the SENCO and wider school team

About You:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
