Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school team in Hinckley. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with a range of learning needs and be committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Help to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to monitor and assess student progress.
- Support children with personal care needs when required (subject to individual requirements).
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with the school's ethos.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A passion for supporting children with SEN and promoting inclusion.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (SEN experience is preferred but not essential).
- A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
