Aspire People is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and skilled SEMH Community Outreach Teacher to support children and young people across Solihull who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a community based role, working with pupils outside of mainstream settings, often in homes, libraries, community centres, or alternative provision spaces. Your work will focus on re-engaging learners, building trust, and delivering personalised education that helps pupils regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and make academic progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver class or small group outreach teaching to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning plans.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families.
  • Work collaboratively with Aspire People, local schools, external agencies, and pastoral teams.
  • Support pupils' emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reintegration plans where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEMH, alternative provision, PRUs, or behaviour support.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
