Aspire People are recruiting a SEND & SEMH Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school where inclusion and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them access learning while building confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Delivering intervention sessions alongside the class teacher
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
- Helping create an inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Recent experience within a UK primary school in the last 2 years
- SEND and/or SEMH experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, nurturing, and proactive attitude
- Passion for helping every child succeed
