SEN Teaching Assistant - Supply
Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border
Salary: Β£100-Β£115 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Supply Cover - Could lead to permanent employment
Start Date: ASAP
Looking for candidates with Enhanced Child and Adult DBS already on the update service.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you'll help create positive learning experiences that enable every pupil to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include

  1. Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
  2. Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities.
  3. Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive social skills.
  4. Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies and individual care plans.
  5. Providing support during lessons, breaktimes and educational activities.
  6. Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
  7. Monitoring and recording pupils' progress and achievements.
  8. Working collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and external professionals to provide the best possible support for each pupil.
