Aspire People are currently recruiting for a school in Smethwick for experienced and passionate Qualified Teaching Assistants to work within their dedicated SEND provision. The role is part of a committed and supportive team, providing tailored support to pupils in a specialist SEND environment, helping them to engage, thrive and reach their full potential, with the needs mainly consisting of ASD.

Responsibilities

  • Support children with ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Work with pupils of all Primary ages and abilities.
  • Assist with lesson delivery, classroom management, and skill development.
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and participation in learning activities.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members within the room.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident working with non-verbal pupils.
  • Enthusiastic about helping children achieve their potential.
