Overview
SEN Teaching Assistants are needed in Leicester.
Aspire People is seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive impact on students’ educational experiences.
Roles are available for supply teaching assistants in various school settings in Leicester, with flexible options for daily, long-term, or temp-to-perm placements.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN in classroom activities, helping them reach their learning goals and access the curriculum.
- Assist teachers with planning, delivering, and assessing learning activities in line with individual education plans.
- Support positive behavior management and inclusive practices within the classroom.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse needs and provide a supportive learning environment.
- Attend briefings, contribute to pupil progress discussions, and ensure safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times.
Requirements
- Available to work at least one day a week, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
- Experience working with children with SEN is essential.
- A teaching assistant qualification is preferred, but substantial relevant experience will be considered if you do not have formal qualifications.
- Must be willing to undergo a DBS check if you do not have one on the DBS update service.
- Demonstrated passion for supporting students and helping them thrive in the classroom.
