Aspire People are currently seeking high-quality, confident and professional Cover Supervisors to work across a network of primary schools in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

We are offering immediate starts or September 2026 placements, depending on availability.

The Role

  • Supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
  • Delivering and explaining pre-set work clearly and confidently
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
  • Creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils to stay focused and achieve lesson objectives

This role is ideal for individuals who can quickly build rapport with pupils and confidently manage classroom dynamics.

Working Hours

  • 08:30 - 15:30 (aligned with the primary school day)
  • Term-time only assignments
  • Flexible placements available across Leicestershire

Candidate Profile

  • QTS and/or PGCE
  • Strong classroom presence and the ability to lead groups confidently
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Reliability, professionalism and a proactive attitude
  • A genuine interest in supporting children's education
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
