About the role

Aspire People are in partnership with a Primary School in the Oldham area, currently seeking a Teaching Assistant for a long‑term role. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2+ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and have at least two years of experience in an Early Years setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of children in the absence of their teacher.
  • Facilitate reading and writing sessions.
  • Demonstrate effective behavioural management skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level 2+ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in an Early Years setting.
  • Completed enhanced DBS check and be on the update service.
  • Subject to appropriate child protection screening, including checks with former employers and Disclosure and Barring Checks.

Employment Details

  • Full‑time, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • The role is ongoing until the end of the academic year and possibly beyond.
