A fantastic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school in Oldbury is working with Aspire Education Recruitment to find passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic staff to join a dynamic and supportive team, with the opportunity for a permanent role from September. Both qualified and unqualified Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom, particularly those with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities).
  • Work across all key stages, meeting students' educational, social, and emotional needs.
  • Assist teachers with delivering tailored learning plans and activities.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for learners, including those with behaviours that challenge.
  • Support students with personal care, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualified or unqualified Teaching Assistants will be considered.

  • Strong classroom management skills and experience handling behaviours that challenge.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (we can assist if a new check is required).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
