We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our dedicated team and inspire students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills and express themselves through a wide range of artistic disciplines.

bout the Role
As an Art Teacher, you will plan and deliver inspiring, engaging and challenging lessons across a range of artistic disciplines.
You will encourage students to experiment, take creative risks and develop both their practical skills and understanding of art, artists and creative processes.
- Drawing and observational studies
- Painting and colour theory
- Sculpture and 3D work
- Printmaking
- Photography and digital art
- Mixed media and textiles
- Art history and contextual studies
- Illustration and graphic design
- Contemporary and traditional art practices
You will support students in developing their own ideas, building confidence in their creative abilities and producing work that reflects their individual interests and experiences.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about Art, Design and creative education.
- An inspiring and engaging classroom practitioner.
- Able to motivate and challenge students of different abilities.
- Creative, enthusiastic and committed to high-quality teaching.
- Confident teaching a broad range of artistic techniques and processes.
- Able to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Committed to developing students' confidence, creativity and independence.
- Organised and able to plan effective and engaging lessons.
- Able to build strong and positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Keen to contribute to the wider life and development of the Art & Design department.
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable. Applications from suitably experienced candidates with strong professional, industry or subject expertise may also be considered.
