Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Location: Newport (West) - Contract Type: Part-Time (2-3 Days a Week) - Starting ASAP - Start date: Beginning of September.

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a fantastic school in the West of Newport.

The position is part-time, initially for two-three days a week, and is set to begin at the start of September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
  • Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children.
  • Use the Welsh language within the school community.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each child's learning needs are met.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
  • A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude toward supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
