Aspire People are currently recruiting a confident and motivated Welsh Baccalaureate Teacher to work in a Secondary school in the Newport area, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with experience delivering the Welsh Bacc / Skills Challenge Certificate at Key Stage 4, with the potential for long-term or full-time work.
The Role
- Delivering Welsh Baccalaureate and Skills Challenge lessons at KS4
- Supporting pupils with the Individual Project, Enterprise & Employability and Global Citizenship challenges
- Developing pupils' literacy, numeracy, digital competence and research skills
- Tracking pupil progress and supporting coursework completion
- Engaging and motivating learners to meet qualification deadlines
- Working closely with departmental staff and senior leaders to support outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience teaching Welsh Baccalaureate at Secondary level
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong organisational skills to support coursework-based learning
- The ability to engage and motivate mixed-ability classes
- A positive, professional and flexible approach to teaching
What We Offer
- £172.98 per day

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
