Overview

This full‑time position is based in Royston, Hertfordshire (SG8 Area) with working hours from 08:30 am – 16:30 pm. Salary ranges from £90,000 to £110,000 per annum. The role starts as soon as possible or in January 2026, with interview dates scheduled for 3 and 10 December.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Assist with feeding, dressing and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Supporting Learning: Provide one‑on‑one or small group support, adapting lessons and resources to individual needs.
  • Care Plans: Follow individual care and learning plans, meeting health, safety and development needs.
  • Therapeutic Support: Assist with sensory learning activities and therapeutic interventions for emotional and sensory regulation.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement behavioural strategies directed by teachers and specialists.
  • Developing Communication: Support students with communication difficulties through Makaton and other strategies.

Onboarding and Training

  • Lego Therapy: Structured activities promoting social and communication skills.
  • Sensory Learning: Tailored activities supporting sensory development and regulation.
  • Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Learn to develop and implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Risk Assessments: Managing risk to ensure a safe environment for all students.
