We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Greater Manchester. You'll work closely with an experienced team including class teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff and skilled support assistants, with access to excellent facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide in class support across either KS1 or KS2
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
- Help pupils access learning and stay engaged throughout the school day
- Support classroom routines, transitions and breaktimes
- Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to monitor progress and wellbeing
Requirements
- Experience with children/young people (schools, care, youth work, coaching or similar)
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils
- A degree would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support personal care if required
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
