About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant working on a supply basis, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs across specialist schools and mainstream secondary. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 or small-group support to students with diverse SEND needs.
- Assisting with differentiated and personalised learning strategies.
- Helping to maintain an inclusive, safe and supportive environment.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers and support teams.
Assignments can vary from single-day bookings to longer-term placements, giving you the flexibility and variety many educators love.
About You
To join our SEND support pool, you should:
- Have experience working with SEND students within a school or education setting.
- Understand a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.
- Be patient, adaptable and confident working in different school environments.
- Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
Applicants without school-based experience cannot be considered at this time.
