About the Role
A Secondary Teaching Assistant will be a key member of the school team, supporting students academically, emotionally and behaviourally. The role offers a mix of duties and provides experience in different educational settings.
- 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs, behavioural challenges and academic needs.
- Lead and support interventions for students struggling in certain subject areas.
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, ensuring all students are engaged and progressing.
- Help students with their emotional well-being, encouraging self-confidence and personal growth.
- Implement the school’s behaviour policy, promote positive behaviour and support students in managing their conduct.
- Be adaptable to different school environments and respond to evolving needs.

About You
- Hold a UK Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Education, Psychology or a curriculum-related field).
- Have previous experience working in a school setting within the last 2 years (tutoring, teaching assistant work or related roles).
- Strong interest in education and passion for helping students succeed academically and emotionally.
- Adaptable, proactive and able to hit the ground running in various classroom settings.
- Resilient to handle challenges and committed to providing consistent support to students.
- Confidently implement and support the school’s behaviour policy.
- Have a DBS on the Update Service and can provide two years of professional references.
