Psychology Graduate - SEND & SEMH Teaching Assistant Have you recently graduated with a Psychology degree and are looking for practical experience working with children?

Aspire People are recruiting Psychology Graduates to work within primary schools, supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs .

Your degree can provide a strong foundation for working in education, giving you an understanding of child development, behaviour, communication, emotional wellbeing, and how individual needs can affect learning.

This is an excellent opportunity if you're considering a future career in Educational Psychology, SENCO roles, teaching, child mental health, therapy, or wider education and support services .

The Role

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Helping children develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Delivering interventions and learning activities
  • Building positive relationships with pupils
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience

  • A degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, or a related subject
