**Primary Intervention & Catch-Up Teaching Assistant**

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who particularly enjoys **helping pupils close gaps in their learning**?
/n
Aspire People are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants with strong intervention experience to support primary schools from September 2026.
/n
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with pupils on a **1:1 and small-group basis**, particularly those who need additional support with Reading, Phonics, Maths or Writing.
/n
Rather than simply providing general classroom support, you'll play an important role in helping pupils identify areas for development and build the confidence and skills they need to make progress.
/n
**The Role:**
/n
* Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
/n * Supporting pupils with Reading and comprehension
/n * Delivering phonics and early reading support
/n * Supporting Maths and numeracy interventions
/n * Helping pupils develop writing skills
/n * Identifying and supporting gaps in learning
/n * Adapting activities to individual pupil needs
/n * Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
/n * Supporting pupils with SEND where required
/n * Building confidence, independence and engagement
/n
**We're Looking For:**
/n
* Level 2/3 TA qualification or relevant experience
/n * Recent UK primary school experience
/n * Previous intervention experience
/n * Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
/n * Good knowledge of phonics, Reading, English and Maths
/n * Patient and encouraging approach
/n * Ability to build strong relationships with pupils
/n * Good communication and teamwork skills
/n
Experience supporting **Pupil Premium pupils, SEND or children working below age-related expectations** would be particularly beneficial.
