Graduate Maths Tutors - Schools-Based (Part-Time & Flexible)
Aspire People are currently working closely with schools in Manchester to recruit Graduate Maths Tutors to support pupils across KS3-KS4. There is a high demand for Maths tutors, with opportunities also available in English and Science for suitable candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and want flexible, meaningful work supporting young people in schools.
The Role
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group tutoring in secondary school settings
- Support students working at KS3-KS4 level
- Primarily Maths-focused, with additional opportunities in English and Science
- Work during school hours or immediately after school (typically 3-4pm onwards)
- Provide consistent weekly support - one tutor per student for the remainder of the academic year
- Adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs, including students with SEN
About the Students
- Pupils may have additional learning needs or SEN
- Require tutors who are patient, adaptable, and encouraging

Essential Requirements
- UK Degree in Maths or a related subject (or strong Maths background)
- Previous tutoring experience (school-based or private)
- Good understanding of the UK Maths curriculum (KS3-KS4)
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners
- Reliable and committed - able to tutor consistently for the academic year
- DBS on the Update Service or willing to pay for a new DBS
- Two professional references covering the last 2 years
