Aspire People are looking to recruit a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a primary school through intervention work and PPA cover across KS1 and KS2. The school is seeking a strong HLTA who can confidently support learning across different year groups while delivering engaging intervention sessions to help raise pupil attainment. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety throughout the school day and has experience working independently with groups of pupils.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons during teacher PPA time
  • Leading targeted intervention groups in reading, phonics, Maths, and writing
  • Supporting pupils who require additional academic support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning activities
  • Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to staff
  • Supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a HLTA qualification or strong equivalent school-based experience
  • Has recent experience within a UK primary school
  • Is confident covering lessons independently
  • Has excellent understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
