Functional Skills Tutor - Maths & English

We are looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver engaging Maths and English sessions to learners with a range of additional needs.
About the Role
You’ll deliver Functional Skills Maths and English to a small group of approximately 12 learners in a supportive learning environment.
- Planning and delivering engaging Functional Skills Maths and English lessons.
- Teaching a 4-hour block each Monday (2 hours Maths, 2 hours English).
- Assessing learner progress through marking and feedback.
- Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment that supports individual learner needs.
- Adapting teaching strategies to engage students with SEND and SEMH.
About You
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS) or an experienced unqualified teacher/tutor.
- Has proven tutoring or teaching experience (essential).
- Has experience planning lessons and marking learners' work.
- Ideally has experience supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH.
- Is patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping learners succeed.
- Can build positive relationships and motivate students to achieve their goals.
