We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in North London. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning, development and wellbeing. You will provide support both within the classroom and through small-group and individual interventions.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily teaching and learning activities.
  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND where appropriate.
  • Leading structured interventions such as phonics, reading, writing or maths activities.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Monitoring pupils' progress and providing feedback to teachers.
  • Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime when required.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Has experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Is confident supporting phonics, reading, writing and maths.
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic.
  • Can build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Can work independently while also being an effective member of a team.
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
