We are looking for confident, adaptable and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary and SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools in the Cambridge area. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young people and have experience in education or similar settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support pupils with their learning and respond to questions where appropriate
  • Work across a variety of school settings, including mainstream and SEN environments
  • Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold a degree (any subject considered, though core subjects such as English, Maths or Science are advantageous)
  • Have previous teaching, tutoring or classroom-based experience
  • Have experience supporting or managing behaviour in schools or youth settings
  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Have a background in youth work, coaching, mentoring or similar roles
