About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community in Horncastle. This is a full-time position, working closely with pupils who have special educational needs, including autism and ADHD. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop social skills, and reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with autism and ADHD in managing behaviour and staying focused
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (desirable)
- Understanding of autism and ADHD, and strategies to support these needs
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
