Pay: £105 per day
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, term time only

Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley who are looking for a passionate and experienced Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and who understands the importance of creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
About the Role
As an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have autism and a range of associated additional needs. You will play a key role in supporting their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism
- Supporting pupils to access learning and develop their independence
- Using appropriate strategies to support communication and interaction
- Helping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviour
- Creating a calm, consistent and structured environment
- Supporting pupils with sensory needs and individual learning plans
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive engagement in school
We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with autism - essential
- A good understanding of ASC and associated needs
- Experience using strategies to support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- The ability to remain resilient and consistent in challenging situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- The commitment to work Monday-Friday, term time only
