We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Primary / SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The Role:
- You will be supporting pupils across the primary age range, with a focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs.
- You may work 1:1 or with small groups, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support children with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with the SENCO and wider school team
About You:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
