Work within schools and follow planning and take lessons. Provide quality support to teachers and to pupils. Support planning, evaluation, and delivery of learning activities for children and young people in a formal setting. Manage pupil behaviour in accordance with school policy. Apply child protection, health and safety procedures and their application in a school setting. Use awareness of frameworks that support education, development and well-being of children.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Have experience working within schools.
  • Be confident with the curriculum.
  • Hold a relevant qualification for HLTA (UK based).
  • Good knowledge of ASD, good timekeeping skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, empathy with children and young people, ability to think on your feet.
  • Background: HLTA (level 4 and above) or a QTS teacher who wants to take a break from planning and marking.

Shift: 8:15‑15:30 daily, full‑time only.

Duration: long term, ongoing.
