This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with pastoral experience who is keen to make a significant contribution to the development of students in a Secondary School in Glossop. We are looking for a resilient and passionate Year Manager to support pupils achieve their full potential starting ASAP.

You will have high expectations as a Year Manager, supporting students to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. You will promote excellent behaviour and attendance, acting as a key positive support for students in your year group.

About the role:
  • Support students in an emotional, academic and social capacity
  • Work with two other year managers to support the year group
  • Uphold excellent standards for behaviour and attendance
  • Promote the school's values and ethos
  • Deal with any safeguarding concerns appropriately and sensitively
  • Work with class teachers and senior leaders to support pupils
  • Liaise with parents regarding progress
  • Encourage and motivate pupils

Long term position - January start. Paid £(Apply online only) a day.

Requirements:
  • Relevant pastoral experience working in KS3 and KS4.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Resilience and empathy.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
