Our goal is to ensure every student has the chance to succeed and develop essential skills for life, work, and further education.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality Maths tuition to students, primarily focusing on Functional Skills (Level 1 & 2). The role involves working with small groups of learners, building their confidence in numeracy, and helping them achieve their qualification goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured Functional Skills Maths lessons (Level 1 & 2).
- Assess students\β individual needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide tailored support and resources to help students progress.
- Track and monitor students\β progress, offering constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths or equivalent.
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience when working with students who may face additional challenges.
- Enhanced DBS check (we can support the process if needed).
