Aspire People are working closely with several secondary schools across Manchester to find passionate and experienced English Teachers for long-term, temp-to-perm, and permanent roles starting January 2026. About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature to secondary school students. You'll join a supportive and dynamic English department and have the chance to make a real difference in students' educational journeys. Some of our schools have a high percentage of EAL (English as an Additional Language) students, so experience working with EAL students would be highly advantageous.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent behaviour management skills to ensure a positive, productive classroom environment.
- Experience working with EAL students is highly desirable.
- Availability to start in January 2026, with flexibility for both long-term and permanent roles.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
- References covering the last 2 years of employment.
