Here at Aspire People, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed Primary SEND Teacher to join our partner specialist school located in Corby. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering outstanding education for children with special educational needs and disabilities. You will play a key role in creating a positive, engaging and highly supportive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Pupils at the school have a range of additional needs including autism, communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs and complex learning needs. We are looking for someone who can adapt learning to meet individual needs while fostering confidence, independence and achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals
- Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy and ongoing curriculum development
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a primary or specialist setting
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and strong behaviour management skills
- Is patient, adaptable and resilient
- Has a passion for inclusive education and pupil-centred learning
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
