Have you recently completed a Child Psychology or Psychology degree and want to gain practical experience working with children? Aspire People are currently recruiting graduates to support pupils within primary schools, particularly those with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs. This role provides invaluable hands-on experience for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, therapy, teaching, mental health, social work, or progression towards becoming a SENCO.
Working within a school allows you to apply your knowledge of child development, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing while making a genuine difference to children's lives.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with additional learning and emotional needs
- Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Supporting emotional regulation and communication development
- Building positive relationships with pupils and families where appropriate
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree in Child Psychology, Psychology, or a related subject
- Passion for working with children
- Interested in SEND and inclusive education
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
