The role
Foundation Learning is about far more than delivering a subject. You will be working with learners who may need additional support to engage with education, develop practical and employability skills, build confidence and work towards greater independence and progression.
Depending on your specialism, you could be delivering Entry Level qualifications, Functional Skills, vocational sessions, life skills or employability-focused learning, while adapting your approach to suit different abilities and learning needs.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Teaching, tutoring, training, coaching or mentoring experience
- Experience supporting Entry Level, Foundation Learning or ALN learners
- Strong communication and learner-engagement skills
- The ability to differentiate sessions for varying abilities
- A recognised teaching qualification or relevant vocational/industry experience
- A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach
Coming from industry rather than education? We would also be interested in speaking with experienced vocational professionals who have the skills and knowledge to inspire the next generation, particularly across construction, engineering, mechanics, multi trades, catering, hair & beauty and other practical disciplines.
Interested?
Whether you are an experienced FE Lecturer, qualified teacher, vocational tutor, skills coach or industry professional considering a move into Further Education, we'd love to hear from you.
