The Role

  • Immediate start available
  • Full-time, long-term opportunity in a welcoming Cardiff secondary school

  • Prepare, organise, and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment for lessons
  • Support teachers with practical classroom activities and demonstrations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised Art department environment
  • Assist with mounting, displaying, and storing pupils' artwork
  • Monitor stock levels and order materials when required
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within workshops and classrooms
  • Support the preparation of exhibitions, displays, and school events

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a school, college, art department, or creative environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of art materials, equipment, and classroom safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is desirable or willingness to register
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
