Are you a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We're currently recruiting for SEN Learning Mentors to support our specialist schools and alternative provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned learning activities or teaching programmes under the direction of the class teacher, adapting as needed to suit individual pupil responses.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of pupil activities and achievements.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural needs; report any concerns promptly.
  • Aid in the preparation and organisation of resources for classroom activities.
  • Deliver feedback to pupils regarding their performance under teacher guidance.
  • Encourage and promote independent learning and inclusion within the classroom.
  • Assist with pupils' personal needs, including toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, where required.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Specialist schools or alternative provision experience is desirable.
  • A good working knowledge of phonics and its application in early education.
  • A calm, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting children with varying needs.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable, but not essential).
