A lovely school within the B6 area (Aston/Witton) is looking for a Teaching Assistant with strong Key Stage 2 knowledge, specifically for Years 5 & 6.
The role will involve leading small intervention groups with children who require tailored support to reach their highest potential.
As the groups will be led independently, experience within Key Stage 2 and comfort with the curriculum are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead small intervention groups for pupils needing tailored support.
- Plan, deliver, and assess instruction aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
- Provide one‑to‑one support to pupils with SEND.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and interventions.
Qualifications
- Level 3+ Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ or CACHE preferable).
- Recent primary school experience within the last two years.
- Excellent working knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
